*520  $aSince the adoption of the Law 22/1987 of November 11, 1987 on Intellectual Property, Spanish judges have interpreted in a changing manner the criteria necessary to grant copyright protection. The objective of this article is to show what this evolution has been, focusing on the last ruling of the Spanish Supreme Court in this matter, in the so-called «bullfighting performance» case (judgment of February 16, 2021).
