It was held that defendant Andrew Isaac's film script copied a substantial part of claimant Paul Hodgson's autobiography and was therefore an adapatation of it. The football chant at the start of the autobiography was a striking a dramatic beginning. The film script opened with the same chant. The only credible explanation was that the chant, and the idea of using it that way, had been obtained from the autobiography.
